The oldest road in Britain - crammed with 2,000 years of history - a feast of famous people born and lived here and yet the story of Kilburn and critically the Kilburn High Road is one of the least known stories.

Next tour date: Saturday 9th July 11am meeting at Kilburn Park Tube Station.  All welcome.
Local resident and amateur historian Ed Fordham is undertaking a series of walking tours of Historic Kilburn.  Starting at 11am at Kilburn Park Station (Bakerloo Line) on Cambridge Avenue the walk takes approximately 1.5 hours. The talks are conducted entirely free of charge and Ed is a volunteer and a collection is taken at the end of the tour.  All monies collected are out towards raising money for the Historic Kilburn Plaque Scheme.  This scheme has currently out up a place to A A Milne and George Orwell and next is Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds).  The tour will end at the Kilburn Tube Station (Jubilee Line) at the top fo the Kilburn High Road.
Future historic plaques - all dependent on fundraising - are planned for WH Smith, Thomas Hardy, Israel Zangwill, Dudley Moore and many many others.
